I am a licensed massage therapist and a graduate of Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, MA.
My goal is to maintain a healthy lifestyle of diet and exercise. It is the pursuit of "well being" in my own life that lead me to the occupation of massage therapy. I am also an avid road cyclist and I enjoy long distance riding. I ride 3 or 4 times week. Once a year I ride charity ride called Harbor to the Bay from Boston to Provincetown, MA.
Knowing that the human body heals best when relaxed, I often begin my sessions with Relaxation (Swedish) Massage to induce the body's innate relaxation response. Gradually, Deep Tissue techniques are applied during the session. It is then the therapeutic edges are gently approached for adjusting chronically shortened muscles, breaking-up fibrous muscle adhesions. Therefore, enhancing the range of motion in the major joints of the body.
I believe that my educational background and massage experience make me a well rounded therapist. Having a license in massage therapy, MEd and BS in Human Services and Diploma from Bancroft School of Massage Therapy.
My employment experience includes working in Provincetown, MA as a therapist at the Shui Spa, Namaste Spa and the Admirals Inn Spa Ogunquit, Maine. In Summer/Fall 2009 - 2010 and the Summer of 2010. I currently have a solo practice and work out of my office at 20 Mill Street, Fitchburg. One of my favorite past experiences was working with Fitchburg State University athletes giving sports massage, collaborating with the trainers on a volunteer basis (January 2010 - June 2016).
